The Reading

Today I sat down to do our community reading surrounded by rose quartz—which should have been my first clue that the cards had something tender and revolutionary planned. What I didn't expect was for my inner child, current self, and future self to essentially stage an intervention about how we've been treating ourselves.

The Queen of Cups appeared first, holding her cup like she was cradling something precious, and I immediately felt this wave of... grief? Recognition? It took me a moment to realize what I was seeing: she was modeling the kind of emotional tenderness we used to show ourselves naturally, before we learned that self-love was somehow selfish or naive. (Ouch)

Then The Fool stepped forward—not as the beginning of something new, but as an invitation back to our beginning. Back to the version of ourselves who danced alone in our rooms not because we were performing for anyone, but because joy lived in our bodies and we trusted it completely.

And when the Three of Pentacles revealed itself, I understood: we've been looking for collaboration and community everywhere except the one place where it matters most—within ourselves.
