I'm so glad you feel it's been helpful for you! I have an on-again, off-again relationship with meditation, but when I do it consistently, I definitely see the benefits. Namely, I am more grounded in my life, and sleep much better, and those two things help everything else immensely.
I read in a book once that meditation and mindfulness are the ability to sit objectively above any situation. Once there, you can learn to accept the reality of your situation and intentionally move forward.
