Embodying Creativity

Day 5 of our 10 Days to Creative Freedom Workshop

Yesterday, we talked about Finding Creativity in the Quiet. Today, we’re chatting about embodying the creativity that you found. (Become a paid subscriber for $5 a month for full access to this workshop, or, read the article that introduced the concept, You’re Enough, from our community’s open-access library for a brief overview.)

We talk about writer's block like it's just in our heads. But have you ever noticed how creativity is a full-body experience? The way your chest tightens when facing a blank page? The way your shoulders release when you write something true? The flutter in your stomach when you're about to share your work?

Our bodies have been speaking to us all along about our creative practice. But in our rush to produce, to think, to figure it all out mentally, we often override these physical signals.

Join my creative revolution as we build a community where every voice matters and every story finds its home. Together, we'll unlock our boldest voices, and build a fearless writing community, together—are you ready to join the uprising? ✨📝👇

I remember the moment this really clicked for me. I was struggling with a piece of writing, pushing through tension headaches and tight shoulders, when I finally stopped and asked my body: "What are you trying to tell me?" The answer came as a physical sensation—a need to stand up, to move, to literally shift perspective. When I followed that impulse, the words began to flow naturally.

This isn't woo-woo mysticism—it's about tuning into our built-in guidance system. Our bodies know when we're forcing creativity versus allowing it. They know when we need rest, when we need movement, when we need connection.
